We are pleased to announce the upcoming IIM Meeting, to be held at Hotel Cenacolo in Assisi (Italy) from 17 to 20 October 2019.
This event will bring together scientists from across the world and will offer an invaluable opportunity to discuss scientific issues in the field of myology. We aim to create an event in which scientists, clinicians and patient representatives have the opportunity of listening to latest discoveries in the field and sharing results, ideas and initiating new collaborations. Join us and meet scientists whose outstanding studies are defining the state of the art in the muscle field!
The congress will be open to all researchers from Italy and abroad and will include a full range of academic sessions, plenary lectures, roundtables and social/cultural events. We will have 4 invited speakers, while the vast majority of the talks will be selected based on the abstracts received. All other participants will have the opportunity to showcase their work through poster presentations. The meeting specially encourages the participation from young trainees.
The roundtables will be moderated by outstanding international scientists, making the roundtables a special event in which young researchers will have the opportunity to talk with prestigious scientists in a friendly and informal setting.
In 2019, the IIM meeting will be part of a high training event, which will include dedicated round tables and a dedicated session on the morning of October 20, reserved for trainees who will be under 35 years at the date of the registration and will chose to participate with the high-training formula. Participants who will chose this formula will receive a high training certificate.
Keynote lectures will be held by distinguished scientists and informal interactions between the invited speakers and the young participants will take place during the sessions and at lunch. In this contest, sessions on myology education and what a career in myology means are planned.
A Preliminary Program containing the planned sessions and invited speakers is shown here. More information will be available soon through this website.
The venue of the meeting, Assisi, located in the heart of Italy, is a major cultural center, boasting an array of historic buildings and museums. October is a wonderful time to enjoy science, culture, wine and food along the famous hills of Umbria.
We look forward to welcoming you to what we hope will be a stimulating and inspiring scientific meeting.
